DISCLOSURE AND BARRING CHECKS (Formerly CRB Checks).
In the light of best practice to ensure the safety of Children and Vulnerable Adults, The Island of Portland Heritage Trust reminds all user groups in charge of children/vulnerable adults hiring their facilities, that organisers must comply with all legal and 'good practice' requirements, including ensuring
(a) that leaders and helpers are appropriately qualified, experienced and insured, and
(b) that all necessary DBS disclosures at the correct level are obtained.
As part of the hiring agreement with the Island of Portland Heritage Trust, you must confirm that you comply with this requirement and that you will continue to do so, by signing and dating the declaration at the foot of this document.
The legal responsibility for Safeguarding Children and Vulnerable Adults at any event taking place in a hired venue rests with the Hirer.
